The Let's Learn Creative Arts series addresses learning goals
in the following general areas:
- Creative expression: creativity may be expressed in a number of different fields (music, art, dance, theater, writing and so on) and with a wide variety of media (painting, drawing, sculpture, instruments, singing and so on).
- Creative fluency: creative thinkers can come up with a number of different ways to solve problems, perform tasks, and communicate ideas.
- Fluency: Fluency refers to the smoothness and expression of a child's reading. With practice, students should be able to read naturally and with few mistakes.
- Creative flexibility: creative thinkers try more than one approach to problems and change their approaches to fit new situations.
- Creative originality: creative thinkers come up with new ideas and put existing concepts and ideas together in new ways.
- Creative elaboration: creative thinkers take simple ideas and elaborate upon them, extending them in new directions.
