Thank you (and your students) for the letters. They arrived safely in Kathmandu this morning. This isn’t the end destination as you know. On Thursday morning your letters will continue its journey on the buck. A buck is a combination of a bus and a truck. Every Thursday morning a buck leaves from Kathmandu to go to Tansen. This is an 11 hour trip on winding roads full with potholes. 8 hours into the journey the buck will stop in Butwal to unload your letters. Butwal is situated in the south of Nepal near the border with India. From there the letters will be taken either by bus, motor bike or car to Kapilvastu. This district is still an hours drive away from Butwal. The school can be reached by a dusty unpaved road. I am sure the children at your sister school will be delighted to read your letters.
